10th November - An End of an Era

10th November 2006

Today marked the end of an era for the community around Logan Road and Nursery roads, Mt Gravatt, when the local fire station closed up and moved to its new residence at Daw Road Wishart.

I was fortunate enough to of been made welcomed as the doors of the old station were "unofficially" closed, and the new ones unofficially opened with the "B" shift boys!

Many thanks to Station Officer Connor and Area Director R.O'Connor for being allowed the privilege to photograph the sad, yet thrilling new start to 17's history!

Good luck to all the guys at the new station! I for one will certainly miss hearing the sirens of the pump and ET at all hours!!!

Good luck on the official opening 12th December too!!
